FIRST NOTICE OF AN ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The BTS Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 5 June 2022 at the Howrah Bowls Club commencing at 2.00pm.
Attendance: Each member club of the Association is entitled to be represented by two voting delegates at the meeting. Other bowls club members are welcome to attend and participate in discussion but are ineligible to vote.
Notices of Motions: Clubs wishing to submit a Notice of Motion to be considered at the meeting are required to submit the notice to the Secretary by 13 May 2022.
General business: A member wishing to bring any business before the meeting may give notice in writing of that business to the Secretary by 20 May 2022 so that that business may be included in the second notice of the meeting. The constitution provides that no business other than that specified in the notice convening the meeting shall be transacted at the meeting.
Board of Management: Nominations are called for the Association’s Office Bearers (President, Deputy President, Secretary, Executive Assistant, and Treasurer) and four ordinary members of the Board of Management. Nominations must be submitted to the Secretary by 20 May 2022 on the form attached. Each nomination must be signed by two bowling members and include the written consent of the nominee.
Other positions: Applications are invited for the following positions which will be filled by the Board at the first meeting following the AGM:
- Chair of Match Committee, plus 3 members of the Match Committee
- Members of Men’s, Women’s and Junior’s Selection Committees
- Statistician
- Social Media Administrator
