BTS Men’s Open Singles updates
15 March: Draw posted
This championship will be held at Rosny Park Bowls Clubs on Sunday 19th March 2023, Sunday 26th March 2023 and Sunday 2nd April 2023. See the Men’s Open Singles draw.
4 February: Entries re-opened
The BTS Match Committee has re-opened entries into the BTS Men’s Open Singles until 10th March 2023. If you encounter difficulties with BowlsLink, you can email your team (identify skip and main contact) to bowls.south@bigpond.com.
The new dates for this championship are Sunday 19th March, Sunday 26th March and Sunday 2nd April 2023 (if needed).
2 February: Championship postponed
The first round of the BTS Men’s Open Singles will be played on 19th March 2023 (after the last pennant round) and the next round will be played on Sunday 26th March (the day after the 1st & 2nd Semi-Finals). The draw will be posted a week before the first round.
NOTE: The Ladies Open & B-grade Championships and the Men’s B-Grade Championships will still be played as scheduled at Rosny Park Bowls Club on Sunday 5th February 2023 per the draws pinned to the top of this page.
28 January: Clubs asked to host
The BTS Match Committee has not been able to identify a host club or clubs for the Men’s Open singles championship (which will be 13 sections) next Sunday 5th February.
Please advise if you can host (or partially host) the Men’s open singles. We need 13 rinks so two or more clubs are needed and they need to supply a match manager and umpires for the day. We apologise for the short notice. If we can’t identify clubs to help, the Men’s open sections will have to be postponed until greens are available.
NOTE: Synthetic greens will be considered at if no grass greens become available, so please nominate even if you have a synthetic green.
