To: Officials and Interested players
Our regular Officials Forums have been scheduled for October/November at three Clubs and via Zoom.
The content of the forums is flexible with our Officiating Panel covering a few key areas and changes to the Conditions of Play. The Side Captains Guidelines has also undergone minor revision based on the updated Conditions of Play and hence our forums touch on the changes therein too and progress to an open Q&A discussion usually on the deeply discussed laws of the game.
The 3 face to face forums each conclude with the opportunity to undertake the common measurement drills and share best practice techniques in the various pieces of measuring equipment.
Umpires, measurers and markers and side captains are our key audience but all bowlers with an interest in knowing the rules and fair play principles are welcome to join our discussions.
Officials who wish to watch over proceedings the BTS Championship Finals, State-Wide Challenge, Gala Week, Seniors Championships and/or Champions of Champions Singles should also make attendance a priority.

The Forum will conclude with opportunity for practice and clarifying use of the umpiring equipment in the correct/preferred manner. Bowls shoes are required. Please bring:
- Your Law Book (Version 3.1 2019)
- Copy of this season’s Conditions of Play and Side Captain’s Guide
- Your Officiating Manual (Optional).
