CLUBS AROUND AUSTRALIA SHARE IN $4.22 MILLION FUNDING FROM COMMUNITY SPORT INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS

BY DOMENIC FAVATA

Bowls Australia (BA) has welcomed the result for those clubs around Australia who were successful in receiving funding via the three rounds of Sport Australia’s 2018-19 Community Sport Infrastructure Grants program.

With applications opening late last year and continuing over three rounds into 2019, 44 successful bowling club applicants around Australia shared in $4.22 million of funding, making up 6.4 per cent of total successful grant applications (across all sports, clubs, councils, etc) and that is largely thanks to the efforts of clubs, as well as BA’s team of Regional Bowls Managers (RBMs), who collaborated with clubs in submitting their applications.
