BTS 2019-20 Champion of Champion Singles Championships
Bowls Tasmania has advised that it will be conducting its 2019-20 Open Champion of Champion Singles Championship on Sunday 23 August 2019 with State winners going on to compete in the National Champion of Champion Singles Championship later in the year.
BTS had to postpone the BTS Champion of Champion Singles Championships due to the Coronavirus pandemic but will now proceed to finalise these championships. It is not possible to play these championships on grass at present to finish them before 23 August 2020. Accordingly Kingborough has kindly agreed to host these championships at its indoor centre with preliminary knock-out rounds on Sunday 26 July 2020 with semi-finals and grand finals on Sunday 2 August 2020. The draw has already been done and will remain as is – apart from the need to re-allocate times for 26 July and 2 August 2020. Any forfeits already notified will be given the chance to play due to the delay in proceeding with these championships.
The BTS Open Men’s and Women’s Champions will be invited to participate in the Bowls Tasmania Open Champion of Champion Singles Championship on Sunday 23 August 2019.
If Club had participants in the championships they have been asked to contact them and re-confirm or otherwise if they still wish to participate in these championships. Such advice is required by Friday 10 July 2020 so that new times can be allocated for the championships.
